Norwood Grace is where our origin story begins. Pastor Kevin Jobe grew up at Grace and was serving as their Pastor when he made his 1st trip to Cuba in 2006. The people of Grace were our very 1st prayer partners and sponsored Pastor Jose’s 1st trip to the USA in 2009. They remain active prayer, financial, and material supporters of Ancient Path.

Lakewood Baptist Church sent their 1st mission team to Cuba in 2012, where they met Pastors Jose & Yami. In the ensuing years, they have invested in regular prayer and financial partnership, contributing to the construction and physical plant projects. They continue to raise funds and send mission teams to La Senda. They have hosted Jose & Yami and Kevin & Tonni on several occasions. Advisory Board member Cheryl Wahlstrom & husband Steve are part of the congregation.

Pine Forest is a small church in a small town with a huge passion for missions, local and worldwide. The congregation strongly supports a couple dozen missionaries/ministries including Ancient Path/La Senda Antigua. They have hosted Jose & Yami and Kevin & Tonni on several occasions, act as regular monthly financial partners and have made generous donations to a variety of projects for the La Senda ministry network. Pine Forest is home church to Advisory Board member Vicki Sheafer.

OCC entered into a unique partnership with APM during the COVID outbreak and subsequent hiatus in our mission travel. Pastor Kevin Jobe served as an interim Teaching Preacher from September 2020 to May 2021. The church, in turn, has invested directly into the ministry of the Ancient Path.

God has seen fit to bring us back around together and we look forward to an ongoing collaboration in the work of the Kingdom.

Faith Alive is a multi-cultural church on Long Island. They became friends of La Senda/Ancient Path after a mission trip in Cuba. They have offered us financial support, new connections, and incredible hospitality and friendship during several visits to their congregation. Pastors Falcon and Ortiz and the people of Faith Alive actively support churches in and around the Las Tunas province in Cuba.

LeTourneau and APM work together to bring spiritual and emotional wholeness to our team in Cuba. LETU has sent mission teams to provide workshops and counseling for our pastors/missionaries and families. The partnership has provided practical training for helping work with congregation members in a variety of situations, as well as critical pastoral marriage and family health counseling so that their homes may be emotionally and spiritually fortified for the considerable demands of the pastoral calling.

The TriHealth team has come on board with APM in a partnership which allows Bethesda resident physicians to experience international mission while helping our La Senda network to develop a comprehensive healthcare outreach program. They have sent short- term teams in 2019 & 2020, providing collaborative expertise for medical professionals who are part of our church community, performing interviews and basic physical check-up service, and offering counsel regarding good daily habits for diet, exercise, and overall physical well-being.

CODEX goes to places (currently Albania, The Philippines, and Cuba) where lack of freedom, cultural isolation, and financial hardship limit access to spiritual resources to equip pastors, leaders, missionaries, and students with solid Biblical and theological foundation and tools for wholeness and spiritual maturity. With La Senda Antigua this means deploying highly qualified theologians and teachers to offer intensive seminary course of study (free of charge) leading to accreditation for our missionaries and pastors in training.

The Sluder Media connection was born out of Pastor Kevin’s time @Norwood Grace. Kevin Sluder was part of our youth/young adult ministry and served the worship team. For the past 3 years, the Kevins have collaborated on a variety of video presentations. Sluder Media has produced a series of short promotional films for APM and most recently completed the production of our extended 2021 Virtual Kingdom Builders Fundraising Event.

Brice started his journey with APM a few years back by traveling to Cuba with a group from 4C and immediately fell into the APM family. Since then he has been helping APM with updating our website from old and outdated to new and fresh as well as continued web development and maintenance. His favorite Cuban meal is bistec de cerdo and his favorite Cuban drink is, of course, their delicious and strong coffee, cafe la llave.

The Burdens have worked in Cuba for over 25 years. They are responsible for Pastor Kevin’s 1st trip there and subsequent connection between the Jobes and Santiagos. Matt served as primary translator for Jose & Kevin the first week together as they poured out dreams for the work God would have them do as a team. Tim & Beth serve The Gate Church in OH and Matt is Lead Pastor of Union Church, Monterrey. Together Tim & Matt founded Father Son Gospel Mission to continue expanding the Kingdom of God through short-term missions.

Willie Santiago is Pastor Jose’s cousin and CCM was the ministry through which Kevin & Tonni (with the Burdens) first came to Cuba. Over the last two decades, CCM has been responsible for more US-Cuba ministry connections than we can count. The reach of the ministry is vast. Many of our partnerships across the USA have their roots in short-term mission trips through Cuba Connection Ministry.
